Thinkfinity

I think this site is wonderful, although a bit overwhelming.
Because I want my students to study American biographies, I printed out a story about Jim Thorpe. I felt this was appropriate because the Olympics have just ended.
Then, I downloaded the audio file so that my students can listen to the story while they are reading it. They can listen as many times as they want.
Finally, I printed out the exercises that go along with the story.
I think this will make an effective lesson, and one that will be a springboard to class discussions.

  1. I found a site about 17th century marriage customs, and how they differ from current ones, which I incorporated in a lesson for my students in their "Romeo and Juliet" Unit. I also found some cool vocabulary games and exercises to enable students to become a bit more engaged with their required vocabulary.

I'm mostly posting these comments because I think I have to. No offense--I did enjoy (really!) reading your comments about some of our required online readings.
